Description We are a growing outpatient mental health center providing a variety of services. Our approach to healing and wellness is focused on mind, body, and spirit as we aim to inspire our clients to make healthy choices that will support their wellbeing and personal success. We provide comprehensive mental health services to Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset Counties. Requirements Job Responsibilities of the School-Based Therapist: Provides clinical social work/counseling services to children and adolescent populations including, but not limited to: Providing assessments of client needs with respect to physical, functional, psycho-social, environmental, financial, educational, or other needs. Developing treatment, crisis intervention, and ongoing therapy. Creates, monitors, and updates treatment plans to ensure the effectiveness and appropriateness of services to meet the client’s needs. Coaching clients on how to manage their on-going conditions and provides therapy that will help them develop positive behavioral changes. Identifying and recommending additional wellness services for clients, as appropriate. Advising and making recommendations to clients, their families and/or physicians as appropriate. Responsible for maintain comprehensive therapy notes that are compliant with COMAR standards within the related system, EMR (Therapy Notes). Notes are to be completed within 36 hours of the date services were rendered. Supports the administrative duties of the center, this may include support front desk/reception coverage, answering phones, greeting clients, scheduling, and provide more details regarding the services offered. Regularly participate in scheduled clinical and staff meetings. Assists in building and growing a book of clients through a variety of methods such as community engagement and marketing strategies. Collaborates with the center’s multi-disciplinary holistic teams for providing excellence in both patient care as well as program offerings and utilization. Provides regular and reliable attendance and can meet the demand of a book of clients with scheduling fluctuations and variations. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Job Qualifications: Master of Social Work (MSW) or Master of Counseling (MA) from an accredited program or higher. Current LCSW-C/ LCPC/ PMHCNS-BC license in the state of Maryland. Two years of clinical experience providing counseling and mental health services. Strong written and verbal communication skills to appropriately facilitate client, diagnostic, business, and outside resource needs. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of mental health challenges, personality development, and modalities of treatment. Preferred Job Qualifications: Bilingual English and Spanish is a bonus, but not required. Interest in offering opportunities for counseling outside of individual appointments such as but not limited to: Workshops aligned with areas of expertise, field interest and/or populations treated Potential to provide group therapy. Potential to provide open office hours Expected Hours: Full-time Therapists are offered 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. Schedules can be accommodated to best suit therapists’ and clients’ needs. Physical Abilities: Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, move from one area of the building to another on a regular basis, sit and use a computer for a long period of time. Manual and physical dexterity needed to operate a computer keyboard and handle paper documents. Enough near vision acuity to read information appearing on computer display screen, in hand-written forms, and printed on paper. Adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person and by telephone. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds. Depending on therapeutic modality utilized, additional physical requirements may be required.
