A professional opportunity is available for a dedicated Behavior Specialist focused on supporting kindergarten students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in a K-12 school environment. This full-time contract position, located in South Burlington, VT, offers the chance to play a crucial role in shaping students’ early educational journeys by addressing behavioral, communication, accessibility, and independent living skills needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering individualized and small-group interventions tailored to kindergarten students with IEPs.
  • Implementing targeted strategies to support behavioral and communication development.
  • Encouraging and fostering independent daily living skills among students.
  • Collaborating closely with special education teachers, related service providers, and general education staff to ensure a cohesive support approach.
  • Reinforcing instructional strategies as directed by supervising educators.
  • Tracking and documenting student progress accurately and consistently.

  • Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, with a requirement of school-based experience.
