MUST HAVE COMPLETED BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST / ABA THERAPY TRAINING AND HAVE A MINIMUM 1+ YEARS BEHAVIOR THERAPY EXPERIENCE. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A Behavior Specialist role is available in San Bernardino, CA, supporting K-12 school districts. This contract position is focused on serving as a Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within Tier 1 Behavior Teams. The role offers 32 hours per week onsite, aimed at providing hands-on behavioral support aligned with district needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver behavior interventions and implement behavior strategies in school settings.
  • Support and coach staff within districts Tier 1 Behavior Teams.
  • Assist in behavior data collection and progress monitoring.
  • Work closely with students displaying a range of behavior challenges.
  • Support students developmental and educational progress while maintaining a professional, collaborative approach.

Qualifications:

  • Active status as a Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
  • Proven experience working in school environments supporting behavioral needs.
  • Flexibility to adapt strategies and support diverse student populations.
  • Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
  • Reliability, professionalism, and ability to coach and support other team members.

Additional candidate considerations:

  • Active CPI certification
  • RBT Certification number
  • Bilingual proficiency
  • Willingness to assist with diapering/toileting
  • Willingness to assist with feeding
  • Experience or comfort working with nonverbal students
  • Comfort working with students of the opposite gender
  • Willingness to ride the bus with students when needed
