Here at Aspris, we are proud to be a leading provider of specialist education services with over 30 schools nationwide. We are recruiting for an experienced Senior School Administrator to join us in opening a new school for autistic children and young people (opening September 2025).
As Senior Administrator your role will be to ensure that the administration operations within the school runs smoothly at all times. s the school grows, you will line manage a small administration team. You and your team will manage the business administration functions of the school, including payroll, finance, HR, recruitment, H&S and more, with support from the Head teacher. This position is a term-time role + 2 weeks (41 weeks per year).

WHAT WILL ASPRIS RIDGEWAY LOOK LIKE?

  • Aspris Ridgeway School will be a centre of autism expertise and excellence, educating up to 60 pupils aged 7-19 with identified autism needs and in receipt of an EHCP.

    We aim to open initially with Y5 and Y6 pupils. We are therefore looking for outstanding primary teachers to join us on this exciting journey.
Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Line manage the support services teams, including admin, catering and housekeeping, to ensure all tasks are completed as instructed, to deadline and to a high standard
  • Ensure the effective operation of administrative processes and procedures, recognising the importance of enquiries or issues and applying the appropriate prioritisation
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of specific administrative processes / systems, for example effective record keeping and filing systems
  • Liaise and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders including site-based staff and wider central services functions (Finance, HR, Recruitment)
  • Take a lead role in the recruitment of new employees by providing administrative support to managers, undertaking a range of pre-employment checks, and ensuring recruitment is legal, safe and meets regulatory standards
  • Oversee financial and accounting administration - invoices, processing of petty cash, checking transactions and undertaking reconciliation in line with academy financial procedures
  • Processing local payroll, ensuring systems are updated in an accurate and timely manner
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including parents/carers, local authorities to arrange visits, meetings to support the referrals and admissions process
  • Facilitate and co-ordinate the organisation of the new pupil admission and transition process including new starter pack and new pupil orientation
  • Work alongside and support the Regional Business Manager with the day-to-day administration queries
