Come join our fast-growing team as a Campus Security Officer, supporting a safe and secure learning environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The Campus Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment on school campuses while providing professional, customer-focused security services. This role requires strong situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, staff, and the public. Key Duties & Responsibilities * Maintain a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, parents, and visitors * Provide general security services in accordance with client requirements and DSI post orders * Remain visible to deter unacceptable behavior and promote campus safety * Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations, including fights, medical incidents, or other security concerns * Observe, correct, and report hazards, incidents, and suspicious activity * Interact professionally with students, parents, staff, visitors, and members of the public * Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and other security personnel * Remain at assigned post until properly relieved * Complete required reports and documentation accurately and timely * Comply with DSI and client policies, post instructions, and Code of Ethics * Participate in required training and ongoing security education * Present a professional appearance and conduct at all times Qualifications & Position Requirements * Minimum 21 years of age * High school diploma or equivalent * Valid State of Florida Class D Security License (required) * Valid driver’s license * Reliable transportation and means of communication * Preferred: 5 years of experience in security or law enforcement (experience working with children or youth strongly preferred) * Strong customer service orientation * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Intermediate computer skills * Ability to perform routine foot patrols, mobile patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all weather conditions * Must pass all required background checks and drug screenings * Florida Security License Benefits * Flexible scheduling * Paid vacation * Paid training * Complimentary uniforms * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) retirement plan * Superior Service Awards * Employee recognition programs REQUIRED SCREENINGS * Criminal Background Check * Motor Vehicle * Drug Screen Why Join DSI?
