JOB DESCRIPTION

ICS Facility Services is currently seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Deepdale Community Primary School in Preston. This position is ideal for a committed and reliable individual with experience in cleaning supervision who thrives in a team environment and takes pride in delivering high cleaning standards.
You will be responsible for supervising a team of six cleaners and ensuring all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard across the school. You will also have responsibility for your own designated cleaning area.
You must also be able to provide cover for any staff absences or sickness to ensure the continuity of cleaning services throughout the school. Support will be provided by yourself including the wider cleaning team and the Site Supervisor, and any cover work will be paid as overtime.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a cleaning or supervisory role (preferred)
• Ability to lead by example and manage a small team
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Flexible, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment

• Supervise and support a team of 6 cleaners
• Clean and maintain classrooms, toilets, hallways, communal areas, and offices
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed in line with health and safety standards
• Use cleaning chemicals, materials, and equipment safely (training provided)
• Maintain high standards in line with contractual expectations
• Report any issues or supply requirements to the Site Supervisor or Area Manager
