About the role We are seeking a qualified and compassionate School Counsellor to join our staff team and support the wellbeing of our students. Key responsibilities: Provide counselling and support to students across all year levels. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and leadership to support student wellbeing. Implement and oversee proactive wellbeing and mental health programs. Offer professional input into pastoral care initiatives consistent with Christian values. Maintain appropriate records and confidentiality in line with professional and school policies. This part time (1 day per week) role is due to start as soon as is practicable. Relevant qualifications and/or experience in counselling Demonstrated experience in counselling children and young people. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and parents. A commitment to the ethos and values of Christian education and a willingness to contribute to the spiritual life of the school. Experience in a school setting (desirable). Knowledge of child protection legislation and mandatory reporting requirements. Ability to design and deliver group programs addressing social and emotional wellbeing.
