GAD Elementary requires a school counsellor for the 2025-2026 school year . We are a Sikh faith-based school which promotes a collaborative, inquiry-based learning environment for students to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. A School Counsellor plays a pivotal role in supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being within an educational setting. They provide guidance, counseling, and advocacy to help students navigate personal challenges, academic obstacles, and social issues.
Whether it’s assisting with career exploration, offering emotional support during difficult times, or facilitating conflict resolution, school counselors work collaboratively to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to students’ overall growth and success. POSTING DETAILS Position - School Counsellor Grade(s) - K-10 Start Date - August 30, 2025 Hours - Full time / Part time Employment - Permanent / Contract REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS A Master’s degree in Counselling or Counselling Psychology or equivalent Bachelor of Education (Elementary, Middle or Secondary) degree, or equivalent training Successful teaching experience at the appropriate grade level A valid Teacher Regulation Branch Certificate, or in progress.
