A K-12 educational institution in Bailey, CO is seeking a dedicated School Counselor to provide comprehensive support to students from PreK through 12th grade. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, allowing for flexibility based on availability and experience. The role focuses on delivering emotional, social, and academic counseling services that foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of students from PreK to 12th grade, including providing scheduled counseling minutes to 4 students with IEPs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address students social-emotional needs and academic goals.
  • Implement intervention strategies and develop individualized support plans as required.
  • Assist in crisis management and conflict resolution to maintain student safety and well-being.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines.
  • Facilitate group sessions and promote initiatives that enhance student development and engagement.
  • Participate in school meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Counselor.
  • Experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to supporting diverse student populations and promoting equity.

Work Schedule Options:

  • Full-time: Monday through Friday, 36 hours per week.
  • Part-time: Two days per week, totaling 16-20 hours.
