Gems International School Soma Bay is seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team as a School Counselor / SEN Teacher. This dual role involves providing specialized support to students with special educational needs (SEN) while also offering counseling and guidance to support their academic, emotional, and social development. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that meets the unique needs of each student. The successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, or a related field. Valid teaching certification and/or counseling qualifications. Minimum of 3 years experience working as a SEN teacher and/or school counselor, preferably within an international or IB educational setting. Strong knowledge of special educational needs and effective counseling techniques for children and adolescents. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students. All appointments are conditional upon acceptable police checks (or equivalent) and appropriate references from current and previous employers verified by personal contact.
