INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS
Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing and transport. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as ‘The Food Bowl of Australia’ as around 25% of the total value of Victoria’s agricultural production is generated in this area.
Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 65,000, and an expenditure budget in excess of $118 million. The population is culturally diverse with 9.9% of residents being born overseas. The area has excellent education, recreation, cultural, social and health facilities and tourism is a developing focus for the region.
CASUAL
Council is seeking applications from individuals who are interested in casual paid work as a School Crossing Supervisor.
School Crossing Supervisors are responsible for providing a safe and orderly passage for children to cross the road at designated school crossing areas. Casual availability, during school terms, between the hours of 8:00am – 9:30am and 2:30pm – 4:00pm is essential.
Greater Shepparton City Council has 26 supervised School Crossing sites across the municipality. No past experience is necessary, all training and development will be provided to the successful applicants.

**An in person information session will be held on Tuesday 10th of June 2025 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Council office located 90 Welsford Street, Shepparton. No registrations are required to attend this information session.
