The School Doctor is responsible for ensuring the effective and safe operation of the school’s medical clinics. The role requires providing high-quality medical care, maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting student health and well-being, and leading medical staff to uphold the highest standards of healthcare within the school environment.

5. STUDENT HEALTH PROMOTION & EDUCATION

  • Plan and implement health education programs for students and parents.
  • Ensure school nurses motivate students to adopt healthier lifestyle choices.
  • Support the school’s healthy food service programs in collaboration with cafeteria management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEPROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a General Practitioner (GP), preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Valid UAE medical license (MOHAP/DHA/DOH).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality medical care and leadership in a healthcare setting.

EDUCATION & LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
Responsibilities
  • Provide expert medical advice on all health-related matters within the school.
  • Ensure an effective clinic policy is implemented, regularly reviewed, and updated as needed.
  • Monitor and advise on school medical service contracts and license renewals to ensure continuous and compliant operations.
  • Keep up to date with changes in local healthcare regulations and ensure compliance with Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) and Ministry of Education (MOE) guidelines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for medical-related matters with relevant local authorities (e.g., MOHAP, MOE).
