ABOUT THE SCHOOL - DUNCOMBE
Duncombe School is an Independent Day School and Pre-School, nestled in the beautiful town of Hertford, for children aged 2-11 years.
As a school we pride ourselves in nurturing our children’s minds through an inspiring educational journey and we encourage every child to dream big!
We believe success and happiness are not simply defined by outstanding academic results, but by being treated and celebrated as an individual, who is encouraged to develop strength of character and explore fully their personal potential.
The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced School Finance Assistant to join our fantastic team.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and confident using IT systems. You should be a strong team player with excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude. Your ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, coupled with a calm and professional approach, will make you a valuable part of the team. Experience in finance administration, data processing, or using finance systems like NetSuite is desirable, but we’re just as interested in your potential to grow. If you’re someone who takes pride in supporting others and wants to develop within a collaborative school environment, we’d love to hear from you.
As a School Finance Assistant, you’ll play a key part in the smooth day-to-day running of finances across two vibrant school sites. Working closely with the Finance Manager and school leadership, you’ll ensure financial processes—from procurement and payroll to Parent Pay and Cognita Connect—are carried out efficiently and in line with policy. This is a full-time, year-round position that offers excellent scope for development within finance or school operations.
This is a permanent, full-time role needed 52 weeks, all year round. Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week with flexible working hours between 8am and 5pm.
