JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. This position requires previous experience working in a school admin/finance environment, using FMS finance platform. The role will include working 3 days in the finance department and 2 days as an admin assistant. The hours will be Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
  • Experience using FMS finance platform.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors.
  • Raising purchase orders, paying invoices, filing, scanning and uploading documents.
  • Perform data entry tasks to ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Working as an admin assistant 2 days of the week
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
  • Continuously seek improvements in financial processes and systems.
