Job Description About the role We seek self-motivated applicants, who possess good communication skills and can work unsupervised, as well as part of a team. Undertake maintenance and repair work to the school buildings and grounds to ensure it is a safe environment for the school community. Part-time hours, working days are Monday, Wednesday & Friday. Key Responsibilities Ensure building systems and machines run smoothly e.g. air conditioning, pumps Undertake repair/maintenance work as required to school buildings e.g. replacing locks, windows & light bulbs, patching holes, woodwork repairs Perform routine maintenance of equipment Estimate repair costs and document repairs undertaken Handle, store, and distribute goods/materials Move equipment/furniture as required Upkeep school grounds e.g. mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, disposing of litter Assist with school improvements e.g. fencing, paving, gardening projects Complete daily grounds maintenance reports Train new employees in groundskeeping duties Drive school vehicles, as required. About Aspect Hills Shire School Qualifications What we are looking for Experience in general maintenance of grounds/buildings Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and general trade maintenance Understanding of machinery/equipment operation relating to building maintenance Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team Excellent communication skills Trade background is desirable Current driver’s licence and use of own vehicle Current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance.
