Description

The post holder will be part of the In-Reach Team in CAMHS to deliver the Whole School Approach, and be responsible for the day to
day operational management of services for the School Liaison and Support Project within CAMHS and the provision of telephone
advice/consultation within Education. This will include liaison and consultation with other statutory, voluntary and private agencies as

required to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive CAMHS Service.

  • Responsible for the line management of the ‘Whole School Approach’ in-reach team, provide advice and support to Teachers and

Education staff.

  • Provide training on emotional and mental health problems with the overall aim of increasing the knowledge, skills and

competence of the teaching staff. The post holder will contribute to children and young people’s IDP meetings.

  • Ensure a robust interface from primary mental health service with key agencies, and work collaboratively with Education Services

in developing early intervention and prevention services.

  • Responsible for training staff to increase knowledge and competence and deliver key services/interventions for children and

young people.

  • Responsible for ensuring that there is a robust interface between Education and CAMHS, ensuring information is shared in a

timely manner. They will comply with Tier 1 Performance targets by ensuring that data collation contributes to the Health Board

performance targets.

  • Develop the service in line with Local and National Directives ensuring service delivery follows agreed pathways and evidence based

practice.

  • responsible for setting up and running client centred groups for professionals, aimed at helping them in their work with children

and/or young people struggling with their mental health wellbeing or being at risk of developing mental health disorders.

  • Bring to the attention of the Senior Nurse any concerns regarding workload.
  • Schedule meetings to fit with other standing diary commitments, prepares care plans to ensure the delivery of effective patient care

.

  • Consider the job within a timeframe i.e. things done on a daily, weekly, monthly, annual or longer basis
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Local Primary Mental Health Support Services (LPMHSS) to develop an integrated model

of Primary Care Services across the life span utilizing evidence-based practice.

  • Responsible for implementing a range of specialist evidence based interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups within

and across teams.

  • Identify safeguarding issues and attend statutory meetings such as Child Protection Case Conferences, and provide comprehensive

written and verbal reports.

  • Have a thorough understanding of consent to treatment issues, and will effectively demonstrate analysis, which leads to clinical

judgment in client notes.
