Do you love books and enjoy working with children? Dorset Reading Partners is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to inspire young children and help them develop their reading skills.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

• Retirees or part-time workers looking for rewarding voluntary work.
• Newcomers to the area eager to get involved in the community.
• Anyone considering a career change and looking to gain experience in a school setting.

  All volunteers will undergo an interview and enhanced DBS check, and will need to provide references before attending our initial day-long training course.

• Volunteer for just 2 hours a week during term time (one school year commitment).
• Work 1:1 with the same four children each week, supporting them with reading, talking, and playing literacy games.
• Help boost children’s confidence, motivation, and literacy skills.
