2026 Central Carolina Academy Maintenance Technician Be able to work independently “Can do” attitude and self-motivated Problem solver Maintain a clean and orderly work space with equipment and tools stored appropriately; work areas are clean and organized Have basic carpentry and plumbing skills Maintain or train staff to help strip and wax tile floors Basic painting skills Maintain school equipment. Examples but not limited too: Floor machine, stripping, buffing equipment, and vacuums Coordinate and oversee fire and health inspection requirements/procedures(keep updated records) Coordinate and oversee fire drills with Principals and Admin. Staff Assist with inventory control of custodial, athletic, maintenance and security (equipment and property) Coordinate campus mowing and weather-related campus clearing of sidewalks and parking lots with outside contractors Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for school supplies and maintenance of the school (AC/Heat, Plumbing, Mowing, Locksmith and etc.) Any other duties that may be assigned by the Principal, AD or supervisor. Coordinate with AD on maintenance of the buses Other requirements Must have basic technology skills Use of cell phone Use of email Must have a valid NC driver’s license Ability to climb ladders at various heights Obtain and/or maintain a CDL and drive morning & afternoon routes (addition pay for bus driving) Other information First shift job 40 hours per week plus benefits 12 months a year $20 to $22 per hour Optimal to have professional credentials (i.e. plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
Responsibilities
Maintain school facilities through carpentry, plumbing, and painting while overseeing equipment and floor care. Coordinate with outside vendors and manage fire and health inspection requirements.
