As a School Nurse, you’ll ensure students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn. Working alongside teachers, therapists, and families, you’ll provide essential medical support and help create a caring, inclusive school environment. What You'll Need Current Virginia license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Minimum of two years’ nursing experience working with children (preferred) Valid Virginia Driver’s License Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and organized in fast-paced situations What You'll Do Provide first aid, manage medical emergencies, and coordinate with families, EMS, and physicians Maintain student medical records, physicals, and immunizations in compliance with regulations Develop and implement Individualized Health Plans in collaboration with families and healthcare providers Administer medications safely, train staff on emergency medications, and document all administrations Monitor infection control procedures and communicate illness updates with families and health departments Rivermont Schools is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
