This role supports student health, promotes wellness, manages chronic conditions, and collaborates with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.   Essential Functions * Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, illness assessment, and emergency response * Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies * Develop and manage individualized healthcare plans (IHPs), emergency action plans (EAPs), and 504 plans as needed * Monitor and support students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies) * Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, etc.) and maintain accurate health records * Promote preventive care and health education for students, families, and staff * Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and healthcare providers to support student health needs * Ensure compliance with state, federal, and school health regulations and policies * Maintain confidentiality and safeguard student health information * Participate in school meetings, care coordination, and community health initiatives Qualifications   Education: * Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio * Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) * Current CPR/BLS certification Experience: * Previous nursing experience required; pediatric, school, or community health experience preferred * Experience working with diverse or underserved populations a plus * Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in school-based or public health settings * Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or other languages) * Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems   Equal Employment Opportunity/Drug-Free Workplace:   The HealthCare Connection is focused on creating a community that promotes dignity and respect for employees, patients and other community members.
