School Nurse RN/LPN Valley View Preschool 1on 1 Recommend experience with Seizures/Kids General Summary/Responsibilities: Administers a comprehensive health service program that helps students achieve maximum benefit from the educational program. Note: The assessment/treatment of students is limited to the evaluation of symptoms and administering emergency first aid. Guardians are encouraged to contact a licensed medical provider for additional services. Duties may require traveling to buildings throughout the district. Qualifications Education Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree Additional requirements:  Type of degree: associate degree preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration  Current Ohio RN or LPN Licensure, required  BLS provider card upon hire  BLS instructor card required within 90 days of hire  Licensed School Nurse, preferred Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience Knowledge/Skills  Meets all mandated health screening requirements (e.g., negative tuberculosis test, etc.).  A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.  Adheres to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators.  Complies with drug-free workplace rules, board policies, and administrative guidelines/procedures.  Ability to establish working relationships with co-workers and function as part of a cohesive team.  Commitment to keep current with workplace innovations that enhance personal productivity.  Extensive knowledge of normal growth and development. Ability to access pharmacology information and community health resources appropriate to the needs of students.  Meets all requirements to maintain CPR instructor certification, including teaching a minimum of 2 classes per year.
