QUALIFICATIONS:

  • DHA license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Strong knowledge of public health principles, child development, and healthcare protocols.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent clinical and assessment skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records and other relevant software.

Responsibilities
  1. Healthcare Services:
  2. Provide direct nursing care to students and staff, including first aid, emergency care, and management of chronic health conditions.
  3. Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved protocols.
  4. Maintain accurate health records and documentation of all student interactions.
  5. Health Education:
  6. Conduct health education sessions for students, staff, and parents on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, physical activity, and disease prevention.
  7. Develop and distribute health education materials.
  8. Health Screenings and Assessments:
  9. Conduct regular health screenings, including vision, hearing, and scoliosis checks.
  10. Assess and monitor the health status of students, identifying any potential health issues.
  11. Infection Control and Safety:
  12. Implement and monitor infection control measures within the school environment.
  13. Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
  14. Collaboration and Communication:
  15. Work closely with school staff and healthcare providers to support students’ health needs.
  16. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s health status and any necessary interventions.
  17. Compliance and Reporting:
  18. Ensure compliance with DHA regulations and school policies.
  19. Prepare and submit health-related reports as required by the school administration and regulatory bodies.
