MASTER’S DEGREE IN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, ACTIVE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST LICENSE AND 1+ YEAR OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A skilled Occupational Therapist is needed to support K-12 students in a school environment located in Lexington, SC. This contracted role spans the complete school year, providing critical services to enhance students developmental, sensory, and motor skills to improve their academic success and daily functioning.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments for students across kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans designed to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students educational goals.
• Document progress and maintain compliance with school and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide direct therapy services within the school setting and adapt interventions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license or certification appropriate for the state.
• Experience working with children in a school-based setting, preferably K-12.
• Knowledge of educational laws, regulations, and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school staff.
• Ability to manage caseloads independently within a contract duration.
