MASTER’S DEGREE IN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, ACTIVE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST LICENSE AND 1+ YEAR OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A skilled Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services is needed to support students across Early Childhood through K-12 settings. This contract role offers a full-time schedule with a caseload primarily based in Sweet Home, Oregon, serving approximately 40 students. The position follows the traditional school calendar, providing a structured and collaborative work environment within educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students from Early Childhood through grade 12, addressing individualized needs.
  • Manage a caseload of roughly 40 students, with flexibility as caseloads may fluctuate.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement effective intervention plans.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings held in Albany to coordinate services and discuss student progress.
  • Adhere to a school-based schedule including holidays and seasonal breaks.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience working in school settings.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload while prioritizing student-centered care.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to engage with staff and families.
  • Familiarity with school schedules, including winter and spring breaks.
  • Commitment to professional collaboration through regular team meetings.

Location and Schedule:

  • Primary work location in Sweet Home, Oregon with team meetings in Albany.
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hour days with a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
  • Contract duration through the school year ending Friday, June 13.
  • Follows the academic calendar with a two-week winter break and one-week spring break.
