[What the role is] School of Applied Science - Research Assistant (Aquaculture) [What you will be working on] • Plan and conduct life science related R&D experiments and routine operations with a focus on aquaculture such as husbandry, fish breeding, developmental biology, transcriptomics, routine molecular biology techniques, optimization of operations, diagnostics, health, genetics • Work with the project leader and co-project leaders to achieve the aim of the research projects. • Mentor students involved in final year projects, internships, short-term work attachments, and similar programmes. • Support the procurement of consumables and equipment together with lab management.
