Description
[What the role is] Associate Lecturer (Electrical & Electronic Engineering) [What you will be working on] • Adjunct teaching position, on an ad-hoc basis • Deliver related courses in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with stronger emphasis on Electrical and Power Engineering and Communications System domains • Conduct engaging, hands-on training sessions on electrical installations, power systems, protection, testing & commissioning, and basic communication systems • Facilitate adult learners’ understanding of industry practices aligned to relevant standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., SS638, SS650) • Guide learners through practical exercises, case studies, and real-world applications in electrical system design, operation, and maintenance • Mentor and support learners in applying theoretical concepts to workplace scenarios, including troubleshooting and safety practices • Collaborate with course teams to enhance curriculum delivery and ensure positive learning outcomes [What we are looking for] • Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electronic and Communications Engineering, or a related discipline • Strong industry experience in electrical installations, power systems, or facilities / energy management • Familiarity with relevant Singapore standards and electrical regulatory frameworks is preferred • Broad foundation in general electronics and electrical engineering, with deeper expertise in power engineering applications • Prior experience in adult learning, training delivery, or industry mentoring is an advantage • Ability to deliver hands-on, application-focused training for working professionals • Strong passion for teaching, knowledge sharing, and developing industry-relevant competencies • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment http://jobs.careers.gov.sg The Singapore Public Service plays a key role in the economic growth, progress and stability of Singapore by formulating and implementing government policies, as well as providing key public services.
