Job Title: Professor (Part-Time) – Traditional Healing, Learning and Teaching (IWA112)
Department: School of Indigenous Studies
Location: College Drive Campus – North Bay, ON
Contract Duration: September 2, 2025 – December 12, 2025

The following teaching need is required for in-class delivery at the College Drive Campus:

IWA112 – Traditional Healing, Learning and Teaching

  • 3 – 6 hours/week
  • Schedule: TBA

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous post-secondary teaching experience informed by excellence with various learning theories and methods
  • Highly effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a post-secondary setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in learning management systems as well as the use of remote delivery and educational technologies
  • Knowledge of Indigenous peoples colonization experiences within Canadian history
  • Knowledge of how Indigenous knowledge can incorporate the principles of cultural safety across a variety of disciplines
  • In-person, on-campus position. Must be able to reliably commute to North Bay, ON
Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate effective learning related to the course
  • Work closely with students and colleagues to provide an optimal learning environment
  • Perform all responsibilities associated with the learning environment including preparation, delivery, and evaluation of theory and practical learning activities
