[What the role is] School of Sports and Health – Associate Lecturer (Diploma in Sports and Health) The School of Sports and Health, whose vision is to be a leading educator in the domains of sports, health, and community care, invites qualified and passionate candidates to apply for the position of Associate Lecturer in the Diploma in Sports and Health (DSH). [What you will be working on] The Diploma in Sports and Health (Sports Management Major) focuses on equipping students with the essential skills and knowledge required to take on operational and management roles in Singapore's dynamic sports sectors. It prepares graduates to effectively support an integrated sports ecosystem in Singapore and the sports event industry, including addressing their complexities, fostering innovation, volunteerism and emerging technology within these domains. The Associate Lecturer will: • Deliver academic and instructional duties for both Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) programmes. • Design, review, and update curriculum to ensure relevance to the sector and uphold academic governance. • Supervise students in final-year projects. [What we are looking for] • Qualification in any sports related discipline, but preferably in esports or sports marketing related field. • At least 4 years of practitioner experience / relevant industry experience in the respective field. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant industry experience/certification in esports or sports marketing. • Training and Adult Education (TAE) Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) such as Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP 2.0) and WSQ Diploma in Design and Development of Learning for Performance (DDDLP) or equivalent training and development in adult learning will be advantageous. • Working knowledge and/or experience in areas such as: o Basics of esports and the different game genres. o Success of esports game titles and potential pitfalls in esports games. o Intimate understanding on the esports ecosystem, industry and careers. o Experience in organizing esports events, tournaments and formats including live-stream Production Management of sponsors, marketing and relevant areas in business related to Finance, Legal and Spectators in esport events o Sports marketing • A self-driven individual and a team-player with a strong sense of responsibility and disciplined to complete duties to meet time and quality targets. http://jobs.careers.gov.sg The Singapore Public Service plays a key role in the economic growth, progress and stability of Singapore by formulating and implementing government policies, as well as providing key public services.
