Description

Position: School Partnerships and Outreach Manager
Reports to: Associate Director, Global Navigator Sales
Department: Global Navigator High School Study Abroad
Location: Ohio, Michigan

WHO WE ARE:

CIEE is a non-profit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization that transforms lives and builds bridges between individuals and nations through study abroad and international exchange experiences that help people develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and multi-cultural world.

WHO YOU ARE:

As Manager of School Partnerships and Sales Outreach for the High School Summer Abroad team, you will be the account manager for your given territory (Ohio, Michigan), including the management of your enrollment coordinators. You will champion school relationships that bring the life-changing experience of studying abroad to U.S. high school students. You will manage a group of existing school partnerships while actively seeking out targeted new school partnerships to meet student enrollment goals in the current sales cycle. You will generate excitement for High School Summer Abroad in your sales territory with your constituents, i.e. schools, alumni, program leaders and district heads. This will be done through a high volume of virtual and in-person presentations to all advocate groups. You will be responsible for managing your entire pipeline of student enrollment. You will work as a team to creatively advertise CIEE’s High School Summer Abroad programs, convert leads to travelers, and meet clearly defined sales goals.

What you’ll do:

  • Sell CIEE’s High School Abroad portfolio of programs to prospective high schools within a designated territory.
  • Foster ongoing relationships with principals, teachers, counselors, and district administrators to keep CIEE at the forefront of study abroad opportunities and to build our portfolio into their mission for global education.
  • Create new partnerships that support the establishment of study abroad as a standard part of the secondary school curriculum.
  • Prospect and cold call identified target schools on territory list to gain competitive insights about students’ and institutions’ educational needs.
  • Present CIEE virtually and in-person to mixed audiences that could include teachers, school and district level administrators, prospective students, and parents to targeted schools and organizations.
  • Travel within your region extensively during the September–February selling season and, when occasionally required, internationally.
  • Build relationships with prospective partner organizations in your territory to provide financial support to students studying abroad.
  • Generate excitement within school communities through regular contact as students prepare to travel.
  • Promote our professional development opportunities available through CIEE to high school teachers and administrators.
  • Champion CIEE at regional and national educational conferences and trade shows.
  • Manage and work with an Enrollment Coordinator to oversee the entire sales process from lead to traveled students. Maximize conversions through close communication and teamwork.
  • Maintain accurate records of school communication, activities, and school relationship statuses in our CRM system Salesforce, i.e. events, tagging outreach and using sales priority statues for sales progress.
  • Provide direct customer service to students and parents during critical times in the enrollment and pre-departure process.

LOCATION REQUIREMENTS:

The position is available to candidates in Ohio/Michigan only.
CIEE believes that professionals with varied backgrounds bring unique approaches and ideas to solving problems and advancing our mission to bring the world together. Qualified candidates from underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
