We are seeking a School Principal for a primary and middle school in Shenyang. This position is available from the upcoming 2026-27 academic year in February 2026. About school This school is a full-time private boarding school, which is located in the core area of Shenfu Demonstration Zone. It includes kindergarten, Primary school, Middle School, High School and International High School. The school adheres to the culture of educating talents, practices the standards of educating talents, takes "preparing every child for the future" as the value pursuit of running the school, and adheres to the school philosophy of "inheriting the spirit of educating talents and creating experimental characteristics". Role overview We are hiring a Principal / Academic Lead to oversee the school’s English/ESL program. You will manage a team of around 10 ESL teachers, ensure teaching quality and consistency, and support school-wide academic goals. The role also includes a small teaching load of around 5 classes per week. Key responsibilities Lead and manage the ESL department (approx. 10 ESL teachers) including onboarding, scheduling, coaching, and performance management Set clear academic expectations and ensure consistent delivery across grade levels Conduct classroom observations, provide feedback, and drive continuous improvement in teaching quality Coordinate curriculum planning, lesson objectives, assessment approaches, and use of teaching materials Support student progress tracking and parent communication where needed Collaborate with school leadership on timetables, staffing plans, and academic priorities Maintain a positive, well-managed learning environment and strong team culture Teach approximately 5 classes per week (as required) Bachelor’s degree or above Proven school leadership experience (Principal / Vice Principal / Academic Director / Head of Department / Coordinator level) Strong understanding of ESL/EAL teaching and pedagogy; able to coach teachers effectively Confident communicator with strong organization and people-management skills Excellent English communication skills (Mandarin is a plus) Salary & benefits Salary: Competitive, commensurate with leadership experience (principal-level package) Paid summer & winter holidays Apartment provided Meals provided Commercial health insurance Flight allowance Z-visa sponsorship Annual free health check Staff child education discount (per school policy)
