POSITION OVERVIEW

The School Principal at the Matthew Reardon Center for Autism is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the educational program, ensuring high-quality instruction, student support, and strong communication with families. As a member of the senior leadership team, the Principal works closely with the Assistant Principal, Clinical Director (BCBA), and President/CEO to foster a collaborative, inclusive, and student-centered environment.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in education, special education, or school administration, along with a passion for supporting students with autism and developmental differences. MRCA is a year-round school, so the Principal must be comfortable with a continuous instructional calendar and the leadership demands that come with it.

1. EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP & OVERSIGHT

  • Lead the design and implementation of curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices tailored to meet the needs of students with autism.
  • Ensure alignment with IEP goals, state standards, and individualized learning objectives.
  • Oversee schoolwide skill acquisition initiatives and enrichment programming.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Master’s degree or higher in Education, Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in education, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or administrative role.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting students with autism and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Preferred Credentials: Georgia certification in educational leadership or special education (or eligibility).
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, coaching, and supporting staff and families.
  • Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and student data analysis.

    Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
