MINIMUM 1+ YEARS SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

A full-time School Psychologist opportunity is available at an early childhood education center in Lakewood, WA, running from early September 2025 through mid-June 2026. This contract position involves working five days per week, with a 7-hour day totaling 35 hours weekly.
The role focuses on supporting preschool-aged children (3 to 5 years old) in a setting with continuous enrollment. The caseload typically begins with 60-75 students and grows to approximately 125-140 by year-end. The psychologist will play a key role in screening incoming children as they turn three years old to identify those who may require evaluations for special services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct developmental and psycho-educational screenings and assessments for preschool-age students
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop individualized support plans
  • Monitor student progress and provide recommendations for interventions or services
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare required reports
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise on early childhood development and special education eligibility criteria

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Valid School Psychologist credential or license as required by Washington state
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood developmental assessments and eligibility processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Location: Lakewood, WA
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week, 7 hours per day (approximately Monday through Friday)
Contract Duration: September 2, 2025 June 12, 2026
