BACHELOR’S OR MASTER’S DEGREE IN SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY, ACTIVE SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST LICENSE AND MINIMUM 1+ YEARS SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A full-time School Psychologist position is available for the full school year at an early childhood learning center and an elementary school located in New Haven, CT. This contract role involves working with a Pre-K population at one site and Grades 3 to 5 students at another location approximately 15 minutes apart by car. The typical workday runs from about 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for Pre-K through Grade 5 students.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administration to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide behavioral consultation and support for both students and staff.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist with data collection and reporting.
  • Support early intervention and developmental screenings for young learners.
  • Assist in crisis response and offer professional guidance on student mental health concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working with early childhood populations (ages 3-5) and elementary grade students.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills for diverse learning and behavioral needs.
  • Ability to work across two sites within a shared schedule framework.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with early childhood development and related educational guidelines is preferred.

Schedule: Full-time, full school year, contract
