CONTRACT: TEMPORARY TO PERMANENT

One of our schools in the Chorley area is looking for the latest addition to their support staff. They are looking for an enthusiastic Receptionist/Administrator. This role is 5 days per week.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and preferably experience within education administration and have Special Educational Needs experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General reception duties , answering telephones, emailing messages, transferring calls and taking accurate messages.
  • Welcoming visitors, signing in and issuing visitor badges.
  • Collecting shopping for the kitchen when deliveries are short.
  • Supporting Teachers & Teaching Assistants with requests for class groups.
  • Some H&S responsibilities – File maintenance.
  • Checking stationary stocks and requesting replacements.
  • Opening deliveries and distributing to colleagues.
  • Laminating materials for display or pupil use.
  • Opening and distributing post
  • Filing / Printing H&S paperwork for staff teams through out school.
  • Scanning & Saving documents.
  • Typing documents for file.
  • Printing documents for Teachers
  • Archiving

The ideal candidate will be :

  • Confident to answer the telephones and take accurate messages.
  • Has an understanding of safeguarding children.
  • Friendly and welcoming.
  • A good level of Computer literacy.
  • Efficient with admin work.
  • SEN experience
