OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing excellent customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy office environment.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience working as a school receptionist.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills are required to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of work quality.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with staff, students and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors, students and parents providing a welcoming and efficient service, whilst managing various administrative duties as directed.
  • Answering telephone calls and directing to the appropriate person or team.
  • Signing visitors in and out of the school and informing of any specific procedures such as health & safety and safeguarding) Providing visitor badges, adhering to the school security procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of phone calls and visitors.
  • Supporting trips and visits by ensuring that students and staff are signed in and out of the premises.
  • Support HR with the preparation of new starter ID, documents and assets.
  • Ensure that meeting rooms are prepared each day (clean, tidy and ventilated)
  • Ordering of authorised items and services as directed.
  • Assist with tasks such as filing, photocopying and mail distribution.
  • Ensure the reception areas are clean, organised and inviting.
  • Any other duties as directed by SLT.
