Description

ABOUT US:

Evoke Behavioral Health is a licensed Day Treatment Program providing year-round specialized educational and therapeutic services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and co-occurring diagnoses. In 2025, we opened the doors to our newly renovated, state-of-the-art facility in Arvada, CO, complete with two outdoor playgrounds, a full gym, and an advanced sensory room—all designed to enhance client care and staff experience. Evoke Behavioral Health is a locally owned organization.
We have expanded our services to include children from Pre-K through 12th grade (previously ages 8-18) and are currently hiring a School Social Worker to support our Mental Health Team in our new growth. This is a center-based position and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
Our interdisciplinary team includes BCBAs, LCSWs, Special Education Teachers, RBTs, Educational Assistants, Mental Health Assistants, and a large number of graduate students working across our departments. In addition to our comprehensive clinical team, we have on-site administrative, human resources, and maintenance support to ensure a safe and effective work environment.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled School-Based Social Worker to support students ages 5-21 with complex behavioral needs within our day treatment school setting. This role is critical to helping students build social-emotional skills, strengthen peer and adult relationships, and access learning in a safe and supportive environment.
The Social Worker will collaborate closely with the Mental Health Director (LCSW), mental health assistants, special education teachers, behavior analysts, speech/language pathologists, and other clinicians to develop and implement individualized interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in social work (MSW) required.
  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) school social worker credential (SSW).
  • Training or experience in Cognitive Behavioral therapies preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children with disabilities and/or behavioral challenges in a school, residential, or day treatment setting preferred.
  • Experience or background knowledge in ABA preferred.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and crisis management skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practice.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain a caseload of 10-15 clients under the supervision of an LCSW.
  • Provide individual and group counseling and skill-building sessions for students with IEP goals related to social-emotional learning and behavior.
  • Support the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Monitor and document student progress toward IEP and treatment goals.
  • Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and support during behavioral incidents.
  • Collaborate with families to build wraparound support, provide resources, and facilitate family participation.
  • Communicate with school district staff, caseworkers, and other external stakeholders.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation.
  • Participate in regular supervision with LCSW and attend ongoing training.
  • Provide supervision and modeling for Mental Health Assistants as needed.
  • Support students during community activities relevant to their therapeutic care.
