A K-12 school in Anaheim, CA, is seeking a qualified professional to provide counseling and support services as a Marriage and Family Therapist or School Social Worker. This contract position spans the current school year and focuses on promoting students’ social and emotional well-being within the educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual, group, and family counseling to address students’ emotional and behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective intervention plans
  • Conduct assessments and provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Advocate for students mental health needs and connect families to community resources
  • Maintain detailed documentation and case notes in compliance with school policies

Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) or credential/license as a School Social Worker
  • Experience working with K-12 students in educational or clinical settings
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development and mental health issues
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
  • Ability to manage caseloads and maintain confidentiality in compliance with ethical guidelines
