A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Social Worker specializing in school settings to support elementary students in Chicago, IL. This contract position spans the current school year and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the social and emotional well-being of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students to foster a supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
• Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals to external community resources when necessary.
• Advocate for students needs and support their academic, social, and personal development.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case records consistent with professional and legal standards.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Social Worker licensure or certification appropriate for school settings.
• Experience working as a social worker in an elementary school environment.
• Strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and educational systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to manage caseloads independently and work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
