A school social worker position is available at a middle school in Elgin, IL, for the current school year under a contractual agreement. Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and support students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies that improve student well-being and academic success
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions
• Connect students and families with community resources and support services
• Address attendance, crisis intervention, and other challenges affecting student engagement

Qualifications:

• Licensed or certified social worker with experience in school settings
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and school social work practices
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
• Experience in crisis intervention and case management
