A middle school in North Tonawanda, NY is seeking a skilled Social Worker to support the social and emotional needs of students. This contract position will provide critical services during the school year, working directly with students, families, and school staff to promote well-being and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify social, emotional, and behavioral issues affecting students
• Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to create supportive learning environments
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
• Connect families with community resources and support networks
• Maintain accurate documentation and case notes in compliance with privacy regulations

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid state social work license or eligibility to obtain one
• Experience working with middle school-aged children in an educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, families, and school teams
• Knowledge of child development, behavioral health, and community resources
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism
