A K-12 school in Tijeras, NM is seeking an experienced Social Worker to provide essential counseling and support services for students within a Special Education caseload. This on-site contract position spans the school year, from ASAP through May 21st, offering a 24-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive social work services tailored to K-12 students with special education needs.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student well-being and academic progress.
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
• Develop and implement intervention plans aligned with students individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory standards and policies.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) credential.
• Active license with the New Mexico Public Education Department (NM PED) is mandatory.
• Proven experience working with K-12 students, particularly within special education settings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Ability to work effectively on-site within the school community.
