BACHELOR’S OR MASTER’S DEGREE IN SOCIAL WORK, ACTIVE SOCIAL WORKER LICENSE AND MINIMUM 1+ YEARS SCHOOL SOCIAL WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A school-based mental health professional is needed to support the social and emotional well-being of students in grades K-12 in Irvine, CA. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and is ideal for a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Social Worker with experience in educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing behavioral, emotional, and social challenges.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop intervention strategies and support plans.
  • Conduct assessments and maintain detailed records in compliance with school policies and ethical guidelines.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and referral services as needed.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to promote student success and well-being.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.
  • Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) in counseling or social work roles.
  • Strong understanding of child development, family systems, and school dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
