Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative support to students requiring social work assistance.
  • Work cooperatively with school personnel in the identification, diagnosis, and remediation of individual students with specialized needs.
  • Advocate for social-emotional functioning support within the school environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator License, School Social Worker (PK-12).
  • Excellent communication skills with students, teachers, parents, and SRT, along with a willingness to ensure effective communication.
  • Satisfactory special education social worker experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of behavior management and group counseling techniques.
  • Ability to provide social skills training to students.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing parent education.
  • Willingness to accept additional duties as assigned in accordance with Board policies and requirements.
