A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the upcoming school year in an Illinois middle school setting, offering the opportunity to support students in a specialized low incidence program. This contract role involves collaborating with a dedicated educational team to enhance student communication and academic success.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering direct speech and language therapy services to middle school students
  • Managing a caseload of approximately 20 students within a low incidence program
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintaining compliance documentation and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards
  • Collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to tailor interventions and support goals
  • Participating in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
  • Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to foster student progress

Qualifications sought for this position:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active Illinois SLP license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered
  • Prior experience working with middle school students and/or low incidence populations is preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

This role offers a full-time schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 3:40 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning with the next school year in a supportive Illinois educational environment.
