Are you passionate about helping children thrive? BrightStar Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate paraprofessionals to support students in grades K-8 on their educational journey. These rewarding 1:1 assignments involve working closely with individual students, providing the assistance and support they need to succeed.

COMMUNITY-BASED SUPPORT OPPORTUNITY:

We’re also looking for a caring individual to provide home/community-based support for a 21-year-old male. This vital role involves assisting with daily living skills and community integration, making a real impact on his independence and quality of life. The hours for this position are 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM daily.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience working with children with intellectual / physical disabilities
  • Ability to obtain BLS CPR certification. (in house classes are offered at a reduced rate)
  • Recent wellness exam and negative TB skin test (provided if needed)
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive fingerprint/background check and drug screening.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
