Description To implement procedures, criteria, programs, and curriculum activities that promote the educational development of each student. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide effective classroom management. Maintains adequate and accurate records. Uses available resources to stimulate learning. Maintains a wholesome relationship with students. Uses available data to plan appropriate learning activities for each student. Uses varied approaches, activities, and styles in the classroom. Communicates and cooperates effectively with parents. Understands age-appropriate behaviors of students at different stages of development. Displays appropriate content-area knowledge. Evaluates student learning at frequent intervals using a variety of instruments or techniques. Documents alignment of daily lesson plans to state standards/benchmarks. Continues professional development in both pedagogy and subject-specific knowledge. Participates in the planning and implementation of school-wide goals or objectives. Develops and maintains a positive, collegial relationship with other members of the faculty/staff. OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Perform or assist with any duties or operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules, keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition. Participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies. Requirements KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Business or related field required. Valid Florida’s driver license with acceptable driving record for insurability under the company insurance and reliable transportation for purpose if conducting company business. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: General classroom environment Normal sitting, standing, walking TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Use text, other curricula, various media, computers, peripherals, and software.
