Assume responsibilities for direct nursing care of assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician in patient care area.  Provides nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the LPN as defined by the Florida Board of Nursing.   Hours: Seasonal Full Time: Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm Responsibilities:  * Provide general nursing care to patients, ensuring comfort and safety in accordance with nursing standards and protocols. * Responsible for the preparation of medical equipment during patient examinations, treatments, and testing procedures. * Monitor and document patient conditions, reactions to medications, and treatment outcomes, reporting significant findings to physicians/nurse practitioners for timely intervention. * Ensure the smooth and efficient flow of patients, minimizing wait times while maintaining a high standard of care. * Greet patients upon arrival, prepare them for their examination, and gather relevant information to ensure comprehensive care. * Instruct patients on proper collection procedures for samples and tests, ensuring clarity and adherence to protocol. * Coordinate and perform patient testing, ensuring timely scheduling and follow-up, and maintain accurate patient records. * Manage patient charts by ordering, preparing, and inspecting documentation, posting test and examination results in an organized and accurate manner. * Oversee the preparation and cleanliness of exam rooms, restocking necessary medical supplies and ensuring treatment areas are fully equipped for patient care. * Actively participate in maintaining compliance with CLIA and OSHA regulations, contributing to a safe and secure healthcare environment. * Engage in ongoing professional development, attending relevant training sessions and maintaining active affiliations with professional organizations. * Regularly monitor emergency kits and medical equipment to ensure readiness for use in critical situations. * Manage the inventory of medical supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage conditions. * Complete required referrals, documentation, and administrative tasks promptly, adhering to all regulatory and organizational timelines. * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the team and ensure optimal patient care and operational efficiency. Required Skills/Abilities: * Clinical Competence: Strong knowledge of nursing practices, ensuring safe and effective patient care under supervision. * Patient Assessment: Skilled in monitoring and assessing patient conditions, reporting changes to healthcare providers. * Medical Documentation: Proficient in maintaining accurate, confidential patient records and documentation. * Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. * Care Coordination: Organized in managing patient flow, scheduling tests, and coordinating care. * Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using medical equipment and performing clinical tasks like swabbing and taking vital signs. * Time Management: Able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. * Attention to Detail: Accurate in performing tasks and maintaining patient records. * Emergency Response: Knowledge of emergency procedures and readiness to respond in critical situations. * Regulatory Compliance: Familiar with healthcare regulations like CLIA and OSHA standards. * Professional Development: Committed to ongoing learning and staying current with medical practices. * Teamwork: Collaborative and able to contribute to a positive team environment. * Confidentiality: Strong understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. * Adaptability: Flexible to changing environments and patient needs.   Education/Experience: * Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program. * Current LPN license in the state of Florida, in good standing. * Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred. * Familiarity with medical procedures, patient care, and documentation. * Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software is a plus.  Physical Demands:  * Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods. * Frequent bending, lifting, and positioning of patients, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary. * Dexterity and manual coordination to operate medical equipment and perform clinical tasks. * Ability to assist in patient transfers, including from bed to chair or during exams. * Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling medical instruments. * Ability to respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations. * Ability to handle physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high level of focus and attention to detail.
