School Wellness Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA/CMA Arizona’s first and only autism-focused charter school is seeking a School Wellness Certified Nursing Assistant to work at our Tucson Campus. Under the supervision and direction of the School Nurse, the School Wellness Certified Nursing Assistant will be responsible for the support of students with medical needs on the Upper Campus. Duties: Administer student medications, under the direct training and supervision of the district School Nurse Support students that are medically fragile in their daily living at school at the Tucson Campus Support a student 1:1 with medical and physical needs during the school day Support students’ individualized medical/emergency plans under the direction of the district School Nurse Track chronic illness documentation and ensure communication to the Registrar, School Nurse and the classroom teacher Prioritize and administer basic first aid following the assessment of injured students Communicate effectively and proactively with students, families, and the District School Nurse Ability to work as part of a team and handle critical situations safely and effectively May be used as a backup to cover the front desk Participate in annual and ongoing staff training Regular and predictable attendance is considered an essential requirement of the position Other duties as directed Minimum Qualifications: Valid CNA or CMA certification Current CPR/BLS certification Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card Prior school experience is preferred Benefits: The school is located at a new state-of-the-art Autism Center Competitive pay based on experience Eligible to participate in benefits including medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, critical care, hospitalization, scheduled accident coverage, voluntary supplemental life, and pet insurance Tuition reimbursement after 6 months of employment 80 hours of Paid Time Off and Paid Federal Holidays Paid fall, winter, and spring breaks Group Life Insurance and Employee Assistance Program 401K with a company match Complementary access to Calm Health for you and up to 5 of your loved ones Great professional development and advancement opportunities ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
