Description

The Schools & Community Engagement Manager at World Vision Australia plays a crucial role in building and expanding partnerships with schools, educational institutions, and community organizations. This position focuses on fostering strong relationships that amplify WVA’s mission, creating long-lasting advocates and supporters through initiatives like the 40HR Famine campaign.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute detailed account plans to engage schools and community organizations.
  • Work closely with the Schools and Youth Engagement team to ensure aligned actions that support WVA’s objectives.
  • Foster ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders to integrate new partnerships into WVA’s campaigns and initiatives.
  • Engage with key school and community leaders daily, managing the 40HR Famine strategy and partnerships to enhance involvement with schools and community programs.
  • Lead the strategy and execution of the 40HR Famine within schools and community groups.
  • Build relationships with school and community leaders to enhance involvement and drive deeper engagement with the program.
  • Contribute to the achievement of financial and participant targets for key campaigns.
  • Ensure the effective delivery and growth of campaigns that engage and motivate schools and community members.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE INCLUDE:

  • 5+ years in Business Development experience
  • Experience in Charity and Fundraising Sector
  • Building and leading effective, high performing teams
  • Experience with working across the Australian Church landscape
  • Background in working within, or in partnership with the educational sector
  • Familiarity with working within a matrix organisation and influencing staff outside of direct reporting channels
  • Strategic planning and financial management capability
