SCHOOLS TRAINING MANAGER
Training and support for teachers is central to our ambition to grow science capital and improve plant and fungal science teaching across the UK. This includes our own team of educators, who deliver curriculum linked inspiring sessions to pupils from Early Years to Key Stage 5, as well as the thousands of teachers we engage each year through our CPD (Continued Professional Development), ITT (Initial Teacher Training and digital resources.
The Schools Training Manager role mainly consists of three areas: leading the development and delivery of our teacher training offer including CPD and ITT for visiting teachers at Kew and through our online bank of resources, Endeavour; teaching pupils across all key stages, from Early Years to Key Stage 5; and supporting, mentoring and managing colleagues to ensure high-quality delivery and the smooth day-to-day running of the Schools Programme.
This is a fixed term contract for a year, and the post is based on site at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew
This post is a 0.6FTE part time annualised hours contract, with most of your hours being completed during term time and during our busy period from March to October.
An Enhanced DBS Check is required for this role.
